ISBS 2020 Video Presentations are now available on the ISBS Youtube Channel.

We will be running a one-off ISBS “People’s Choice Award” for uploaded presentations – this is intended to be a light-hearted, one-off award in which all ISBS members will be eligible to vote for their favourite poster and podium presentations. The winners will be awarded complementary ISBS memberships. Voting links will be sent to all members via e-mail.

ISBS 2020 Award Presentations

ISBS 2020 Award Lectures will be distributed for the public on the ISBS Youtube Channel. These lectures will be broadcasted live and recorded and will be available to view after their conclusion.

The Geoffrey Dyson Award Lecture (Professor David Lloyd)

Image of Professor David Lloyd This award lecture entitled "The future's in-field sports biomechanics: wearables plus modelling compute real-time in vivo tissue loading to prevent and repair musculoskeletal injuries" will be presented live by this year’s recipient, Professor David Lloyd (Griffith University, Australia), at 11:00 BST on Tuesday 21st July. The session will be chaired by ISBS Life Member Professor Bruce Elliott and will be hosted on the society’s YouTube channel, with the chance to submit questions for Professor Lloyd to answer live after his lecture.


Hans Gros Emerging Researcher Award Lecture (Dr Gillian Weir)

WeirPhoto 2020 This award lecture entitled “ACL injury prevention in team sports: biomechanically informed approaches and applications” will be presented live by this year’s recipient, Dr Gillian Weir (University of Massachusetts Amherst, USA), at 16:00 BST on Wednesday 22nd July. The session will be chaired by ISBS Life Member Professor Joe Hamill and will be hosted on the society’s YouTube channel, with the chance to submit questions for Dr Weir to answer live after her lecture.

ISBS 2020 Society Meetings

In accordance with our constitution our regular board meetings and AGM will take place virtually this year. ISBS members are welcome to attend both the ISBS Board Meetings and the AGM. The ISBS Officers will hold both pre and post conference meetings. These meetings will be conducted via the Zoom platform. ISBS 2020 Annual General Meeting
